Shuttering Carpenter

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and work from technical drawings and plans.

Build and dismantle shuttering (formwork) for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, and walls.

Measure, cut, and assemble timber or metal formwork systems.

Install steel reinforcement (rebar) within formwork if required.

Pour and level concrete into prepared forms.

Ensure all formwork is aligned, level, and structurally sound.

Strip formwork once concrete is set, without damaging the concrete.

Follow health and safety regulations and site procedures.

Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a shuttering carpenter in construction projects.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

Skilled in using carpentry tools and equipment.

Good physical condition and ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

Basic understanding of concrete and reinforcement placement.

Awareness of health and safety standards on construction sites.
