What does an Audit Manager do at Grant Thornton?
Within our Audit & Assurance department, you’ll be a trusted advisor to our clients. You’ll take a leading role in executing national and international audit assignments across various sectors.
You are responsible for the coordination and implementation of national and international audit files in various sectors with an emphasis on:
Project management : You’ll coordinate audits from start to finish: from managing budgets, client appointments, and scheduling to communicating with management at various levels. You’ll assign tasks within the audit team, conduct risk analyses, supervise the work of colleagues, and ensure the quality of the final result.
Performing audit assignments : You handle the more complex parts of files, are able to translate the audit methodology into an efficient and high-quality audit strategy that can then be implemented by the team and adjusted as needed, are able to report audit findings to management, and prepare an audit report. Special assignments and consolidation taking into account ISA600 are also part of your responsibilities. Knowledge of IFRS and USGAAP is a plus .
Leadership and Team Development : You will be responsible for managing, coaching, and motivating junior and senior auditors. At Grant Thornton, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your own leadership style while making a positive impact within your team.
Business development : You build strong relationships with your clients, proactively follow up with them, and contribute to new opportunities. Are you the Audit Manager we are looking for?
You have graduated in an economics or financial field.
You have at least 6 years of relevant experience in external auditing.
You are a certified auditor or are at an advanced stage of the audit process (not a must, but an asset).
Knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP is a great asset, but not an absolute requirement.
You communicate fluently in Dutch and English . Knowledge of French is a plus.
You combine strong analytical skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach.
You think critically and dare to color outside the lines.
You are a real team player with leadership qualities and an entrepreneurial mindset.
