We are seeking a skilled, creative, and experienced Fashion Designer with hands-on experience operating industrial sewing machines to join our team in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, cutting, sewing, altering, and finishing high-quality garments while ensuring excellent craftsmanship and timely production.

Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Design and produce high-quality garments in line with company specifications and customer requirements.
Interpret fashion sketches, technical drawings, and garment specifications.
Take accurate body measurements and prepare garment patterns where required.
Cut fabrics accurately according to approved patterns and production specifications.
Operate industrial sewing machines, including straight-stitch, overlock (serger), cover-stitch, buttonhole, and button-attaching machines.
Assemble garment components and ensure high-quality stitching and finishing.
Carry out garment alterations, fittings, and adjustments as required.
Inspect finished garments to ensure they meet quality standards before delivery.
Repair or remake garments that do not meet quality requirements.
Select appropriate fabrics, trims, threads, zippers, buttons, and other materials for production.
Maintain sewing machines and promptly report faults or maintenance requirements.
Ensure proper handling and storage of fabrics and production materials.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
Meet daily and weekly production targets while maintaining quality standards.
Collaborate with other tailors, cutters, and production staff to ensure an efficient workflow.
Stay updated on current fashion trends, garment construction techniques, and industry best practices.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
