Job Description
Elba Restaurant is seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter (full-time) to support our kitchen and front-of-house teams in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment.
Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:
Wash and sanitise all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and crockery.
Keep kitchen floors and surfaces clean, dry, and free from hazards.
Assist with basic food preparation as directed by chefs.
Dispose of waste and recycling according to health and safety regulations.
Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages.
Clean and restock the restaurant restrooms regularly throughout the shift.
Empty bins and remove trash from front-of-house areas as needed.
Sweep and mop floors in both the kitchen and public areas to maintain a hygienic environment.
Perform deep-cleaning tasks during off-peak hours or as scheduled.
Requirements:
Prior experience in a cleaning or kitchen support role is preferred but not essential.
High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physically fit; able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods.
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
