Field Service Engineer

After intensive training both in-house and at customer sites, you will independently undertake international assignments. You will support our printing systems on-site, conduct customer training, and perform maintenance and service work. You will work with the latest technology in the areas of printing solutions, automation, mechanics, electronics, and software integration. You will integrate new machine generations for international customers, represent our company on-site, and be supported by a motivated, collaborative team.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

Installation, network integration, commissioning and validation of our flexo and digital printing systems as well as print inspection systems (black and white and full-color printing)

Carrying out preventive and troubleshooting maintenance work on Hapa printing units

Installation and validation of software and hardware upgrades

Initial instruction and training of customer personnel (machine operators and maintenance personnel)

International assignments and travel to our customers

What you bring with you

 

Completed vocational training as a mechatronics engineer or automation engineer (ideally supplemented by further technical training at FH (HF) / ETH level)

Willingness to travel at least 80% (service assignments usually last a few days, rarely up to 3 weeks)

Very good knowledge and practical experience in electrical engineering, control engineering, information technology and general fault analysis

Very good PC, PLC and network knowledge

Very good English skills

Good knowledge of German (other foreign languages are an advantage)

Willingness to develop skills for practical applications in industrial printing technology

High level of commitment, customer and service orientation as well as great flexibility

Enjoyment of daily contact with international customers, high social skills and independent working style

Professional experience as a field service engineer is desirable
